ASTRONAUT SERIES
Being part of a family with a religious background, the artist reinterprets her experiences of accepting (by force) and rejecting (consciously) religion as a part of her life. The series of paintings on wooden panels refer to classic depictions of saints but in a new, space-themed setting. The Astronaut is the main character, whose adventures go through traditional everyday scenes with biblical motifs.
Besides painting, the series includes other objects (graphics, sculptures) whose images are inspired by contemplations of new saints and the role of humans in imposing rituals.
